Announcing Casa NāM
From co-creation space to community living.
When I posted about NāM on the local Build Better Phangan group, the response surprised me. One thing kept coming up in those conversations: where do I actually live?
NāM, for those who don't know it, is a co-creation space for creatives, founders and builders. A place to do meaningful work, grow as a person, and be around others who are building something that matters.
More than a place to work
Those conversations made me realize that people weren't just looking for a place to work. They were looking for somewhere that actually feels like home. A small community — not an isolated villa, but also not a pass-through where you never see the same face twice.
People weren't just looking for a place to work. They were looking for somewhere that actually feels like home.
A residential version of NāM
So I'm starting to explore a small residential version of NāM. Not a cookie-cutter development. A community of homes with the same values behind it. Nature-integrated, built with a fully local Thai-led team, blending Thai wooden architecture with modern design and comfortable living. Something that gives you both privacy and easy access to community. Something that actually belongs here.
Early stages, clear plan
We're in the early stages, but with a clear plan for how to get there. I'm also teaming up with a local partner who has already built similar projects here on the island, which gives me a lot of confidence in what we can create.
One thing I'm still working through is the balance between keeping things standardized and giving people the option to personalize, especially in an eco-conscious direction. If you have specific suggestions for upgrades, or thoughts on the project in general, I'd love to hear from you.
